i don't like hot days

because the heat makes you tired
Photobucket
i saw this at the noticeboard at a lobby of one of the condos along bukit timah, those million dollar homes. poor little girl lost her scooter, maybe mas selamat stole it
er
Photobucket
mac customers getting fatter ."pls do not sit"
Photobucket
interesting object. spin the ball on top and see where the red dot points to-buy/sell/yes/no/maybe/ask mom/pray.
and i think at home we have this dice that has on its six sides stuff like eat/sleep/play etc..interesting, i need such stuff. for days like these

ok, i know this is a relatively 'lesser' of the photospam series. i'll try harder next time haha.

oh and i read on hinkai's blog that ppl thought he was too..whats the word..ah. troubled. and so in the event that this blog becomes too troubled
=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)=)
haha. smileysmiley. yay now we're gay

i don't like something that starts with 'w' and ends with 'ork'.

now is the time for the 'i dont like's for my posts' titles. somehow the artistic energy that was with me before has done its disappearing act on me again so now i am in a blurry state of mind when it comes to art and to thinking of ideas and drawing and creating arworks. ohmy. i consulted the daily horoscope but apparently nothing has been said about this drain of artistic energy
you have some issues to work out in your subconscious and the only way to figue it out is to let the quiet, weird signals bubble up from deep down below. It's a good time to take stock.
what the hell man horoscope!!
then again maybe the Straits Times does not hire actual horoscopists or astronomers or whatever, i think they just make up the predictions for the day.
"issues to work out in your subconscious". i shall assume that refers to my dreams which means i should sleep more. okay thats good
"let the quiet, weird signals bubble up from deep down below".

okay. i have silently waited for said signals to 'bubble up', i think the horoscope's just referring to burps, because incidentally i have just had a lot to eat for lunch which consisted of nasi lemak and carrot cake and ben and jerry's
as for the "good time to take stock" part i dont understand what that means either.
oh and what a retarded post! i think i'll just keep procrastinating and do other nonsense stuff till i attempt again to revive my creative juices, meaning i sit on my bed and stone-think.
other than art i have other work to do, all of which require brainstorming ohshux. like dear PW, which requires me to think up of something to do about journeys. i actually like doing retarded projects where u can dream up of some superretarded inventions for the fun of it, but it looks like we wont get to do such stuff.
oh and i think i need to read king lear, reminds me. hai. should have realised earlier.

mugfest has begun in nanyang.

i like food, oh

Photobucket
Photobucket
these two were at pastamania, on saturday with the class 4e people . first time in , i think, maybe 25 or so visits to pasta, that i did not eat Creamy Chicken. this one was some sausage thing. it was nice oh it was
and after dinner and after some randoming , we went to parkway macs for supper. nuggets and green tea and curry sauce and tcs. till about eleven i think. then i chiong-ed home to catch the second half of man united's match. as expected, i was really blur at church the next day.
Photobucket
some random sonyericsson advertisment shot i took at the tcs. just put it here since kwok says he wants it
Photobucket
this was saturday too. mos burgers are overpriced
Photobucket
tuesday's subway. i did not take terriyaki chiken for once. cant remember what this one's called, but it has lots of ham and cheese. footlong. nice
and on that day i got broke because i had to pay for the ticket to The Pillowman
Photobucket
and this was today's coffeeshop meal. again, the number 23.
amusing. i always chiong to the Economy rice stall. its so fast. and the Western stall people meanwhile just wait and wait and find that the five dollar western meals are not that great anyway.
bad thing was they did not buy fries so i had nothing to cope.
on saturday i coped mos fries and some pasta
on monday i coped macs fries
on tues i coped a subway cookie
on wed i coped nothing
Photobucket
but i took this during maths, it was etched on my table, while jay's table had 'join girl's soccer ' on it.
"you have been EMO-ed! *slash slash"
Photobucket
paid a visit to gayvid. hwa, someone's photography skills not bad ha hur hur.
for the uninitiated, this is a pink sculpture of David, a replica of the famous michelangelo sculpture. this is in the National Singapore Museum, you can go there to see him.
i think people should start sculpting goliath as well, maybe . oh tall
Photobucket
and recently i have been hunting for rubber ducks because they are part of the idea i am exploring for my UOB painting of the year which i shall from now on refer to as 'the painting'. because right now till god knows when there's only going to be one painting in my mind in my timetable in my life in my ev.er.y.day
these 3 ducklings were at grandma's, they came with a bigger motherducker which could carry all three ducklings on her back. i did not cope them cause they are grandma's and the cousins may want to play with them
so today i went to white sands to comb the area for a rubber duck. searched high and low. high, then low.
all the gift shops dont have them. only those cuddly animal things that don't even come in ducks anyway. lots of turtles. i guess ducks, rubber ducks, are not cool anymore.
but finally my resiliance paid off when i looked thru the whole fairprice and found some ducks lurking somewhere behind the magazines section. ohmy . how high i was.
and then i had to take photos of my new rubber duck in the bathtub. problem was that the plug in the bathtub, the thing that keeps the water from flowing down into the drain. it was loose. i had to keep my foot there to keep it in place so the water wont run away. cue retarded moment. whilst taking all the shots i had to take, my left toe held on to that loose plug to ensure the water stayed where it was. shampoo spamming and some frantic arm waving resulted in lots of bubbles, although not exactly as pretty a sight as i expected. the lighting in the toilet was bad and i was using my phone camera. somehow the phone did not get wet or anything. but the rubber duck smells quite nice now after its first photo shoot.

ohmy for the next amazing race they should get teams to go singapore search for a rubber duck. sheesh.

recently i have been addicted to kanye west's 'stronger'. and to the song 'way back into love'.
oh
Photobucket
guess the odd one out of the logos in the middle of the paper. as in ,not counting the 'm' logo and the rainbow thing hurh

i like kites as well

sleep has been a weird experience this past week
firstly this is the second time this week that i have dreamt of the number 92. first time , i saw it in the clouds. second time was on the grass. my conclusion is that it's either the age i am going to die at or it's going to be my A level score
secondly i always awake with a cramp in my left calf. i hate cramps. when it's on the sole of your foot that sucks but on your calf, it's just as bad. i wonder how it came about.
i started holiday homework today and i think maths is about 20 percent complete but i have been procastinating again, going on another homework hiatus.
i realised that the previous post sort of sucked
and i am eating more meals nowadays. breakfast is per usual but lunch is followed by two seperate tea time meals then dinner then supper. however it's amazing what a simple lunch of fried rice with bak kwa can do to my mood-o-meter. after doing maths , lunch really cheered me up. hooray. i love you mum
and oh blogging is just another part of my procrastination schedule. cause i can't bring myself to go work with the maths sht again. oh
i think i'll blog about yesterday

i went to school in the wee hours of the morning. i really should have taken the oppurtunity to wear my jeans to school because at nine in the morning on a holiday there really is no one in school to care. and so i went to settle my art stuff and soak in the artistic atmosphere of the art room to inspire my drawing
and then i made my way to somerset MRT where the class was meeting and a kind soul lent me the new paper for me to read and to shield wei an and i from the rain when we were making our way to cathay cineleisure from there. apart from the usual space-hogging activities i had lunch at subway and we booked tickets for 'cai shang qu 2'. probably one of the only class-gathering-friendly movies around. and students pay only six dollars so for once my wallet agreed with me
the movie had not much plot i think the storyline's just an excuse to show off the dances which were okay. cheesiness.
oh then we went to ngee ann city cause its fun to walk and i think someone wanted to go to art friend, although i 'm not sure who that was, because we went there then went out without buying anything. somehow we made our way back to cathay to play pool and of course i managed to sneak in in my half school u and well this was my fourth time playing pool this yr and in my life so now i'm a level 4. and i have learnt of a new technique from a fellow low-leveller, that is, to use the other end of the cue stick, ingenious, because then it's more stable. and oh. i managed a triple kill. i was aiming my free ball for a double kill, and succeeded, just that the white ball went into the hole as well so that made it a triple kill. this happend a few times , whenever i got a free ball. i need to learn how to put backspin.
i also lobbed a shot however i cant hit the target. although managing to lob the ball is quite chim already i must say. the prices at cathay seemed quite reasonable or maybe it's because we split the price among many people.
dinner was at the food court. i like japanese deepfried fish. i reached home late again. the canal looked nice that night. for once there was enough water in it, and the moon and the stars reflected in the water.
i must be really ahpek. upon reaching home i read the newspapers and drank herbal soup. then i went to bathe and then i randomed a bit while waiting for my hair
to dry
and then i slept and dreamt of those stuff. 92.

i like the smell of rainy days

-quick apologies if your mouse's scroll wheel is spoilt-
well. i was thinking. how to make this blog a bit deeper? cause i been talking a bit too much about my life but not my thoughts. so i should

go deeper

like real deep

you know? deep down

that deep

like maybe

this deep

yup. that'll do. well. so i been typing this proposal for my ideas for that UOB painting of the year competition which we art peeps have to enter. actually its the second proposal i will be submitting to ms hew, cause the first was total crap. okay not total. just relatively crappier.
here it is anyway, the second proposal

Idea 1. Singaporeans are spoilt
I feel that Singaporeans are a spoilt bunch. We take too many things for granted. We occupy ourselves with our busy careers, holidays and shopping sprees.

We fail to notice that in Afghanistan, people struggle with the government’s poor infrastructure. Land mines are a part of everyday life. Terrorism is a real threat there everyday. In Singapore, one terrorist escapes, and already there are people quick to lay the blame on the government.
In Africa, many Africans face the threat of death and violence everyday due to ethnical conflicts there. The plight of some Africans here was mentioned in feature articles in The Straits Times’ March 8th issue, prompting me to ponder this topic.
Many Africans dream of life in a place like Singapore, yet for the few who do make it here, they end up working in labour-intensive jobs. In Singapore, I observe that many youth do not realize how privileged we are to even have a decent education and living.

There are numerous other issues others face that Singaporeans don’t. However I feel the most glaring issue we overlook is the freedom we have. In the short space of forty or so years, many Singaporeans seem to have forgotten the terrors of our nation’s past: the Japanese occupation and our colonial history.

We are lucky to be where we are now, and I want to highlight the things that we take for granted (eg. Freedom, shopping sprees, safety, stable government, we are always ‘cutting queues’ ) .

Idea 2. Family Ties
Through first hand observation I have noticed how family ties that were once strong, have thinned with the passing of time. People become more and more attached to their careers and friends, and family time becomes just a weekly obligation, a once-in-a-week thing.

I thought of the imagery of a rubber duck and bathtub.
When we were young, we played in our bathtubs, the rubber duck being our companion. As we grow older, we relax our tired muscles and minds in the bathtub after a hard day’s work. Rather than going to the bathtub to indulge in fun and happiness, we turn to it only when we are down and tired.

And slowly, the rubber duck drifts away from our lives, forgotten and neglected, something we no longer want to associate ourselves with.

In this analogy, the bathtub and rubber duck symbolize our families and childhood past respectively. Like the bathtub, our families are always there for us, yet now, we turn to it for different reasons as in the past. Like the rubber duck, innocent childish fun is something we no longer wish to associate ourselves with.

Even though we may not wish for such things to happen to our family relationships, they are inevitable due to the demands of our materialistic ever-changing fast-paced world.

beautiful. it's in deep red. deep
anyway. no coping of ideas people. and no copying either. i will sue
the initial idea was on environmental issues. sort of inspired by sian ru who is obsessed with trees and wave forms. i was thinking of trees and here's an excerpt from my pensieve
how nice it would be to have trees in heaven?
yah. we been cutting down so many trees, what wrong have they done? i can portray tree stumps at the bottom of the painting and the trees in the sky, in heaven, on top.
how cute. then again. it's slightly retarded and to be honest, this issue is, among my three ideas, the most cliche , i would say .
and speaking of heaven
last night i was watching this movie called what dreams may come . i think it's quite old, maybe 1990s, it stars robin williams. i quite like his acting. he's not good looking, but i find that he has a very genuine face, a very genuine smile. i like his movies, i have watched patch adams and mrs doubtfire and planning to watch jakob the liar soon
anyway. i found this movie at a clearance sale and it sounded interesting. well, it is about this guy who is a doctor. his wife's a painter. they both like paintings and appreciate paintings. then one fine day both their kids die. then you go to four years later and chris (r. williams) dies in a car accident. naturally annie his wife is distraught. chris finds himself in some dreamy landscape and discovers he is inside the beautiful landscapes that his wife painted. like when he moves around the paint squishes around too, how cool.
apparently, this 'heaven', was created by him. i think when you die, your mind sort of creates your own heaven that you can visually physically see. but the fact is, heaven's not about paintings of flowers and rivers and beautiful scenery and sky. no matter what heaven you create for yourself, it's really all about living in things that make you happy, living with the knowledge that you exist, emphasis being on 'you' and 'exist'. okay.
you exist. what's this 'you' in 'you exist'? is it your heart? no it's just a body part! your brain then? no its just a body part too! ah. 'you'. it is just 'you'. like. your soul.
so heaven's all about being happy knowing that you do exist, that you have life.
and back to the story, his wife commits suicide! and bad news, suicides don't go to heaven. well, in heaven, this chris guy has already found his two kids, but duh, he is not happy. he wants to go find his wife who happens to be . in. hell. yay!
and hell's not all fire and flames and all that physical torture and pain. its more mental torture. hell is all about losing your mind, losing control of your life. so you see lots of lost souls crying and wailing in despair there, and when he pays his visit to hell, chris is filled with these visions of his past mistakes, quarrels with his kids, his wife.
he is forewarned by some wise soul that even if he finds his wife in hell, nothing he does can make her recognise him. so well, he does find here. but she is so disshevelled, so crazed, so lost. miserable existance
they converse in this wreck of a house that's a replica of their actual house on earth. she cant recognise him and he's really hurt seeing her suffering without being able to comfort her, as a husband.
well but then anyway he comes out after a while. sad and all. but he does not give up, although this wise old guy is persuading him to just go back to heaven to happiness and to his kids.
he just stays in that house talking to his lost wife. well at this point i was quite sleepy and blur but anyway the point is he didnt give up so , cue happy ending, he succeeds in bringing them both back to heaven. yahuh, they happy they hug they reunite with their kids.
themes the movie touched on are life and death, and love, and maybe a bit of faith.
"the thought is real. only the physical (stuff) is fake. ironic huh?"
hm. quite chim. but i got the point although i dont think i explain it quite well here.
hais. anyway
it's quite an interesting movie. just ignore some of the cheesy visuals because i think 1990s' special effects were quite sucky haha. and you'll enjoy the message the movie is sending.
oh

i like red too

yesterday went to danial's house for his housewarming cum bday surprise and there were about twelve class 4E peeps there about one third of the class yah and we got him a big bird soft toy from minitoons and i later found out that its because danial sounds like 'da niao' the chinese word for big bird oh i'm so laggy
met earlier at parkway for camping session and to catch up a bit
Photobucket
well ben just wanted to catch up with sleep. or maybe he was praying real hard
oh and i tried that new burger at BK, some fish with honey mustard sauce, stupid lah shouldnt have wasted my money, you cant really tell the difference from the normal fish burger. but then at the counter there are buddy meal coupons to cope so now i am armed with lots of buddy meal coupons for my next visit to BK.
made a compulsory stop at the toilet
Photobucket
amusing. "victoria sch operation manager, OM, is a child molester Be careful if your child is in that school he is a bastard"
yahuh i sort of understand, but then again he only targets kakhi panters, yah. well the only molesting we did yesterday was when someone said "let's go the mac shop molest the macbook air!"
went looking for present thereafter and parkway basement one has quite alot of random interesting shops, good for time wasting and hanging around amusing yourself. i been parkway so many times but then again we normally dont random around these shops. normally it'll be camping sessions, guys like these a lot. camp somewhere to eat and talk cock for reall long. and sometimes we'll accompany someone to go best denki to hog the space and the xbox 360. i rmb many times yenriel spent reall long there. and there was this real cute time when he was playing some shooting game, co-op with some small kid and the kid was like teaching him how to play. he was saying 'ni zai na li ni zai na li?!'. as in yenriel, not the kid. and then sometimes the tech geeks will take over and we'll go hog the mac or sony stuff for a bit. we dont go bookshop much. and huh yah we hang around sembawang and gramophone etc quite a lot too, movies and music.
hung around gramophone for a bit, being the music freaks that we are. nil sine music
Photobucket
i suggested this present but then it costs 50 bucks and well. it looked interesting though, among the variety of designs. its a mouse ,computer mouse
we made the smart choice to walk to his house from parkway. whoo i was wearing a black shirt and jeans and i tell you it sucks to sweat in your jeans it seriously sucks. by the time we reached his house which was ten times nearer to siglap centre than parkway i was perspiration to the max
but then. woah his house so cool. furniture quite grand. and its big too. oh and wow i love his hangout area on the top floor the third floor
Photobucket
shiokk arh a red pool table! best
i dont really have a lucky number yet, maybe nine. but my lucky colour's quite obvious
it costs one point four k, the pool table and cues and balls. to my surprise because i thought itd cost much more
Photobucket
well. just the day before i thought i was really smart cause i had the unique idea of going to get him some tissue cover as a housewarming gift but then. lucky i didnt.
Photobucket
scouts say, be prepared. bring xbox. whoo so there was the pooling gang and the xbox gang, we sort of took turns playing both. wow a red sofa. seeing red quite a lot nowadays..
it was a half-maht, half-4E chinese maht gang or sort of. haha and plus one phillipino! you know, actually i have friends who are chinese, phillipino, indonesian but then the way they talk the way we converse, i often forget that theyre not singaporean. guess when you come here at an early age, the culture of spore rubs off on you very quickly. soon my austrian classmate will be speaking fluent singlish.
contrary to your belief we did not hog the xbox halo ing. we played soccer mostly. one on ones. quite fun hurh. i played a bit of halo then went to pool. halo quite sian, and i didnt bring my specs so i cant read the screen when it says you have picked up a rocket launcher. in the end all my three kills were from melee attacks hah and the rest of the time was spent trying to find the other two peeps on the map which happend to be too big for a three player game
but yeah soccering was fun. shiok to play with controller again. at home i use keyboard, and sometimes the 'a' key got problem.
dinner was good and i was tactful enough to loudly proclaim that. wah, i love malay cuisine, its so fragrant
ended up randoming at his place till eleven i think. took bus 12 back with juffri. then bus 3 and it was about past midnight. been up late a few times and i like going home late because everything is more quiet especially the bus rides. and the journey home is perfect for music and chocolate at the nearest petrol station or seven eleven.
i better do something about my cough. drank ice lemon tea at BK then the fruit juice at danial's house. have not been taking medicine, partly because it says loudly that it causes drowsiness and partly because i forget to. i mugging stamina now, staying up late and all. the last thing i need is drowsinesss
going to school after this, need to see ms hew about my art stuff. wah, but anyway i need to go back cause as usual i left something in the locker again, this time its my lit text. apparently king lear swears a lot. i wonder how they swear in shakespearan times.
and i have successfully seperated football from my moodswings. watching my team lose doesnt moodswing me that much anymore.
we took a group photo with the bday cake which had eight candles-one fat one and seven thin ones.
i dont think guys really go and enthu in uploading group shots and sending to everyone and we are def not the kind to print them all out and give one copy to everyone with a personal message at the back saying like thanks for coming it really meant a lot to me! hah, cant imagine danial doing that. but then i want the photo, then can go upload to myheritage.com and compare every1's faces to that of celebrities. just now i just uploaded some pictures i took of others, to some amusing results.
danial's hair is longg! wow, it owns. how cool. oh

i like the smell of the trees at night

orientation 2
Photobucket
msn messenger's colours have sort of become quite iconic.
Photobucket
ingenious. the typical orntation game where u have to form one super long line. rather than take out my shoelaces i helped tear out strips of some magazine. check it out, we imba. our line went back and forth three times
Photobucket
dead bird i saw on monday at the grandstand. maybe he flew into something? or
"why did a bird flying over a rubbish dump fall down?
it covered its nose with one wing" -Mr Alvin Tan, andrew's civics tutor jan-feb08
dont think there was a rubbish dump in the vicinity though, maybe like drapes said the bird just flew into a fan or something.
Photobucket
ah lastly. this place called popeye's went there first time that sunday with the family. they show popeye films on the tv there. food's overpriced and in small portions. like seven bucks.
my thigh muscles and right arm hurt. the arm's cause i spent most of yesterday's pre-bed time washing my shoes. scrub till quite pain i guess, trying not to think of all the stuff those shoes' been thru.
oh mud oh ice cream oh.
as for the thighs i seriously have no idea how that came about. and worse still i found out while jaywalking that i limp slightly when walking briskly as a result of these cramps..sounds familiar? ohno

wouldnt it be nice if the world was Cadbury

wouldnt it be nice if the world was Cadbury and not full of evil things

Photobucket
this is a serious matter and i really hope he'll be caught soon..although its likely he will lie low for awhile then make his next move. oh
anyway i got an idea for the police. other than the fact that this should never have happened.
"he walks with a limp in his left leg"
why not just break the legs of all terrorist and dangerous peeps who are in jail? then they cant escape and if they do they'll be harder to catch right. i think its not a bad idea seriously

Photobucket
'han's' is an eating place in tampines, i think there's one more outlet at the national library. sells local and western food, its not bad . i think i have found something new to collect, the table numbers on eating places i go to. oh hail my boliao ness

Photobucket
oh pasta !
"never eat till you are full, that's the secret to long life." -Lee Kuan Yew
ohwell i know he said something along those lines. my great grandma's version is 'drink lots of water'. sort of the same as my anti-coke philosophy
and some people say that sleeping late is bad for your lifespan!

today i had several incidents that displayed i need my weekend nap. because i have temporary short term memory today, its true, and i cant really recall these incidents though. seriously

oh and i have thought of a few pet peeves or whatever it is, that name for stuff that irritates you.
1) laggy computers. one of the fastest ways to moodswing me
2)when you are sitting on an 'inner seat' on the bus and need to alight, and the person on the 'outer seat' only shifts sideways off the seat to let you pass. why cant they just stand up to let me through?!!
3)having to do maths homework. binomial's done a good job of nearly killing me today

oh but i like nokia ads, they're something i like. i see them so often because when you're watching football like i'm doing later, they do spam nokia ads quite a lot. but i still quite like them. reminds me, i forgot to stock up on those chocs for the match later. i'm only left with half a box of them. and i think i know where my cough has come from
yeah hah that day i was playing cards at Banquet at Parkway! oh they wont chase you out of the food court they never will until its eleven plus at night, like that time at the suntec food court after i went with the VJ peeps to their dancing in the rain mass dance .
notice the addition to my blog?!! there is show luo on your right to tell you the time!! thankss han hao! and i added a 'hits counter' thing at the bottom of the blog. woa one day 34 hits!! oh

oh, and sianru, you owe me FIVE BUCKS, spam my tagbored anymore and i'll make it ten.
need further persuasion? huh

ohmann i love Family Guy!! love stewie's accent. the way he pronounces 'fake moustache' as fake moose-tesh. and yea i borrowed a Family Guy comic on thurs! its called the big book 'o' crap, the parts with stewie in it are funniest although i'd still recommend the book for some light hearted retarded reading definitely
okay.anyway. sianru. me stewie. you brian. money

Ms Kwok says all Males communicate in GRUNTS
